Zhengzhou International 『
The middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, which draws water from Nanyang, was officially opened on December 12, 2014. The most verified node in the South-to-North Water Diversion Project is the project through the Yellow River, which is a great miracle in the world. The official opening of water makes the Yangtze and Yellow rivers "shake hands".
This is the first time for China to carry out a water conservancy project under the Yellow River, and unique in the world.
As the name reveals, "Chuan Huang" means "crossing the Yellow River". The Yangtze River water from the Danjiangkou Reservoir flows from the head of the canal to the north, and the Yellow River becomes a natural barrier to the flow of water from the south to the north. In order to solve this problem, two 4,250m-long tunnels were dug at the bottom of the Yellow River bed in the west of Huayuankou in Zhengzhou. The northbound Yangtze River water intersected with the Yellow River through two tunnels crossing the Yellow River, forming the trend of "Yangtze River does not invade the Yellow River" and subducted down to cross the eternal Yellow River.
