Zhengzhou culture and tourism sphere recover fully

In February of the early spring, more than 500 Yellow River themed artworks in different forms of painting, sculpture, installation art and so on, attracted a large number of citizens in the new venue of Zhengzhou Art Museum.

Divided into three chapters including "the Yellow River", "People" and "the earth", the exhibition begins with the famous artist Wang Gang's huge oil painting "Why the Yellow River" created in 2012, which shares a magnificent picture of the Yellow River.

According to Luo Ming, curator of the ZAM, the exhibition has attracted more than 130,000 visitors so far, with the highest daily attendance reaching 7,000 and more than 10,000 comments.

There’re not only art exhibitions here. Zhengzhou Museum launched a series of activities to celebrate the Spring Lantern Festival to bring cultural activities to people's life, which attracting hundreds of people to participate in the festival.

According to statistics, Zhengzhou held more than 490 cultural tourism activities, the implementation of cultural tourism consumption subsidies of 210.232 million yuan, the participants reached 992,400 person-time, directly driving consumption of 285 million yuan.

According to Ctrip's big data, that bookings for home-stays and tickets for scenic spots in Zhengzhou increased by 40 % and 188 % year on year during the Spring Festival.

During the past new year holiday, the city's 17 scenic spots under key monitoring received a total of 1,551,874 tourists, a year-on-year growth of 56.45%; Ticket revenue reached 139,402,751 million yuan, up 81.47% year on year. According to the comprehensive big data monitoring, sampling survey and district/county (city) statistics of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the city received a total of 7.15 million tourists, a year-on-year growth of 12.95%; The total tourism revenue reached 4.639 billion yuan, up 5.79% year on year.
