Worship Ceremony for Yellow Emperor 恭拜始祖，祈福中华
"Worship Xuanyuan (also Huangdi or Yellow Emperor) on the third day of the third lunar month". On March 26 (today), Xinzheng, Zhengzhou displays new vigor in the invigorating spring; flags fly high in the spring breeze. The annual Ceremony of Ancestor Worship in the Hometown of the Yellow Emperor is held here as scheduled.
“三月三，拜轩辕”。3月26日，郑州市新郑黄帝故里，旗幡招展，一年一度的拜祖大典犹如与春天的“约定”如期而至。
Due to the pandemic, this year's ceremony has been simplified but kept solemn rituals to remain "high standard and influential" despite "no guests, audiences and actors on site" as mentioned in the organizing principles.
受疫情影响，今年的拜祖大典调整了方式，以“现场无嘉宾、无观众、无演员表演”“大典规格不降、影响力不降”为基本遵循，简约庄严举办。
Although they can't attend the ceremony on the site, the Chinese descendants pay reverent homage to the cultural ancestor and are committed to inheritance of the excellent culture and national spirit. Chinese people from across the world meet together in the on-line ancestor worship event.

Typically, this year, on-line ancestor worship is launched to offer a spiritual home to global Chinese. On March 21, the on-line worship platform came into service and was widely welcomed. Blessings from Chinese worldwide poured in. They made DIY blessing posters to express devout homage to Xuanyuan Huangdi and extend best wishes for defeating the pandemic together.

In order to ensure the continuity, inheritance, rituality and solemnity of the grand ceremony as the national intangible cultural heritage, 9 parts of the ceremony are kept, but presented with elaborate short videos.
为保持“国家级非物质文化遗产”黄帝故里拜祖大典的延续性、传承性、仪式感、庄严性，今年的拜祖大典保留了九项仪程，但大多以精心制作的短片来呈现。
For example, the ode is not performed on the site; instead, members of the chorus sing the Ode to the Yellow Emperor at home or in the open air, with siblings from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and abroad appearing in the same scene, which is achieved by using the montage technology.
比如，“高唱颂歌”环节调整为“云合唱”，合唱团的成员在家中或者在空旷的户外拍摄演唱《黄帝颂》的场景，港澳台同胞和海外侨胞也纷纷加入进来，通过画面剪辑把大家会聚在一起。
"Without onsite performance, it is enriched by blessing scenes of compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese, better showing the unity and close bond of global Chinese." The principal of the CCTV director team of this year's ceremony introduced that, in the procedure of "firing gun salutes", they used to provide a live view of guests, but this year, they added the videos showing that Chinese at home and abroad reunited; in the procedure of "giving a salute", Chinese people making a bow at different places across the world were edited into one film, replacing the onsite bowing scene in previous sessions, which manifested the profound family affection that blood is thicker than water.
