The first session of the 16th National People’s Congress of Zhengzhou opened

On the morning of January 4, the first session of the 16th People's Congress of Zhengzhou City opened in the Henan Great Hall of the People. Representatives of the People's Congress from all walks of life and all fronts of the city attended the congress, earnestly fulfilling the sacred duties entrusted by the Constitution and laws, shouldering the people's trust of the city, and seeking a new chapter in the modernization of Zhengzhou as a national central city.

The Executive Chairman of Presidium Zhou Fuqiang presided over the conference.

At the meeting, delegates listened to a report on the work of the Zhengzhou Municipal People's government delivered by Mayor He Xiong. The report consists of three parts as follows. First, review of the work in 2022 and review of the work of the current Administration. Second, overall requirements and main objectives for the work in the next five years and 2023. Third, Key Work Arrangements for 2023.

The congress examined the report on the implementation of Zhengzhou's 2022 National economic and social development Plan and the 2023 draft National economic and social development Plan in writing , as well as the report on the implementation of Zhengzhou's 2022 budget and the 2023 draft budget.
