Zhengzhou’s tourism industry rebounded strongly

In traditional Chinese culture, Longtaitou, or Dragon-Head-Raising Festival, means the spring returns and farming begins. Even the festival celebrates ancient agrarian , and some of traditional ways to celebrate it are no longer practiced, we could still regarded it as a good omen for revivals.

On February 15th, the last day of the spring rush, Zhengzhou Airport's T2 terminal is still bustling with passengers departing and arriving, which is a microcosm of the busy Spring Festival transportation at Zhengzhou Airport (pictured).

According to preliminary statistics, more than 2.5 million passengers were sent during the Spring Festival travel rush, an increase of more than 90% year-on-year. Zhengzhou Airport's passenger throughput reached 1.79 million in January, up 241% year on year, ranking first in central China in terms of passenger throughput.

On February 17, three travel agencies were on board the Zhengzhou-Thailand flight operated by a Thai airline.

Since the end of 2022, Zhengzhou Airport has accelerated the recovery of international passenger routes. At present, Zhengzhou Airport has resumed international flights from Zhengzhou to Helsinki, Finland, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Manila, Philippines, Bangkok, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
