Dance for World in Beautiful Zhengzhou

　　From August 6 to 9, more than 6,000 street dancers from around the world got together in Zhengzhou to compete in the 5th China (Zhengzhou) World Dance Games themed with “Dance for World in Beautiful Zhengzhou”. Their fantastic performance on the WDG stage created unforgettable impressions and wonderful memories for about 20,000 live audiences and street dance enthusiasts.

　　The Games, including the ones in the co-host cities and the Finals, totally attracted over 20,000 international competitors and 50,000 audiences. In particular, there were dancers from America, France, Japan, Ukraine, Korea, Kazakhstan and Singapore as well as 30,000 audiences attending the Finals, at which 11 champions would be picked out.

　　Each part of the Games passed a kind of message and power: Zhengzhou street dance, after years of accumulation and exploration, got the best achievement in this August. Based on the great popularity among ordinary people, the increasing top-level street dancers and teams as well as the constantly improving industrial chain, Zhengzhou street dance was developing vigorously with modern and fashion elements in the “Street Dance +” era. In addition, the fertile cultural soil in the Central Plains provided continuous nutrients and energies for the development of street dance; consequently, Zhengzhou street dance was fused with variety of characteristic cultural elements of the Central Plains, composing a unique “Chinese story”.
