　　As the first large-scale event of the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities, the ignition ceremony will be held on May 8 at the Dengfeng Observatory which is the earliest existing astronomical observation building in China.

　　第十一届全国少数民族传统体育运动会首个大型活动——火炬火种采集仪式，将于5月8日在我国现存最早的天文观测建筑登封观星台举行。

　　The design of the torch is unique. The color Chinese red is adopted in the design of the torch “Xin Xiang". In the aspect of material, its design inspiration comes from the city flower Chinese rose ,above which the landmarks in Zhengzhou are in order while 56 ropes circle around in the bottom. The torch design expresses the aspiration of the people of all ethnic groups to the party and to pursue a better life.

　　此次火炬造型的设计别具一格，火炬“心向”采用喜庆的中国红，取材于郑州市花月季的花蕊，上部依次排列着郑州的地标建筑，下部蜿蜒盘旋着56条绳索，表达了各族人民心心向党，以及追求美好生活的愿望。

　　The bottom of the torch adopts the dragon pattern of Shang dynasty bronze ware, highlighting the cultural heritage of Zhengzhou. The orange ribbon in the middle is the flying flag, which is also the deformation of the first letter “Z”of "Zhengzhou" ,symbolizing the vitality and passion of the torch relay.

　　底部采用商代青铜器的龙纹，彰显出郑州的文化底蕴，中间橙色飘带是飞扬的旗帜，也是“郑州”二字拼音首字母的变形，象征着火炬传递的活力与激情。

　　The highlight of this activity is to invite ethnic minority children from all over the country. With the pure voice, they Chorus the sports theme song and the 24 solar terms song to echoes the meaning of time implied by the Dengfeng Observatory, presenting the sports meeting in this special way.

　　此次活动最大的亮点是邀请了来自全国各地的少数民族小朋友，他们用纯真的童音合唱运动会主题歌和传统民谣改编的《二十四节气歌》，呼应观星台蕴含的时间寓意，以这个特别的方式礼献运动会。

　　

 

　　It is reported that the costumes are designed by Fang Huijuan. Based on Chinese traditional costume, the upper outer garment of the costumes symbolizes the four seasons and the under one means twelve months in a year. The philosophical thought contained in the costumes and the “time” idea symbolized in the Dengfeng Observatory are the same, while the embroidery pattern echoes the Dragon and Phoenix Bringing Prosperity on the emblem.

　　据悉，火种采集使者系列服装由设计师方惠娟完成，设计以华夏民族传统服饰为原型，上衣用布四幅，象征一年四季，下裳用布十二幅，象征一年十二个月，其蕴含的哲学思想与采火地点观星台象征的“时间”理念一致，刺绣图样与会徽中的“龙凤呈祥”寓意相呼应。
